Tell us a little about yourself as a woman creative or entrepreneur?
I have been singing and dancing since the age of 2 and I also got into acting and modeling a bit after that as well. I’ve been dancing competitively since the age of 4, and I am an original member of the JUNO-nominated band GirlPow-R. Throughout the pandemic, I have also started my own clothing shop on Instagram called @todye4shop.
What is your go-to affirmation?
You are enough!
What is your best quality and your worst flaw?
My best quality would be my passion and drive to work hard, but I feel like that is a flaw as well because taking the time needed for self-care is very important.
What school do you attend?
I recently graduated from the Arts Unionville program at Unionville High School.
Looking back on the past couple of years, what is the highlight?
A couple of highlights would include GirlPow-R being nominated for Children’s Album Of The Year at the 2020 JUNO Awards, along with graduating high school with honors as well as the dance council scholarship award.
What challenges or struggles have you faced as a young woman?
I have experienced a lot of stress and anxiety growing up, especially since I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis when I was 12. Music is one of the things that helps me through that.

What is your ultimate dream goal?
My dream goal would be to inspire as many people as I can through music. I would also like to have some more choreographing opportunities similar to ones I have had in the past few years.
Which female role models inspire you and why?
Ariana Grande inspires me because she is an amazing singer and dancer who also advocates for equality.
Which upcoming projects can we expect to see from you?
I am working on more solo music along with new projects with GirlPow-R. I am also continuing to be a part of programs that support advocating for mental health.
What inspired you to be involved in music and performing arts?
I started singing and dancing because my father is a musician and my older brother did competitive dance as well. They inspired me and still do!
What are important topics that you would like to bring awareness to and why?
I would like to bring awareness to the importance of mental health. It is important to know that you are not alone and it is okay to not be okay sometimes.
What piece of advice would you like to share with aspiring young women?
Be yourself because everyone else is taken!
What does your self-care routine look like?
I enjoy taking long showers, doing face masks, and doing my nails while watching a YouTube video.
